When visibility drops, your dive becomes less about how you can’t see and more about how you respond to it. Not being able to see much tends to confuse your diving skills (even if they are muscle memory at this point!)… and SSI Night & Limited Visibility is built to turn that shift into a whole new perspective. 

You’ll work on your compass navigation. Refine your buoyancy. Learn communication techniques that rely on your dive light and awareness rather than constantly relying on visual cues. You’ll also learn how to interact with marine life responsibly – where behaviour changes as conditions do. Equipped with the right kind of gear and guided by an Instructor, you’ll realise that the dark isn’t really limiting… it just demands you to dive with more intention, more awareness, and a whole deliberate kind of diving.

ITINERARY

Day 0
Orientation + Briefing at the Dive Centre.
If you’ve been here before, welcome back!
Day 1
Ease into the dark. This is the one shore dive where you adapt. A quick theory and debrief session later, the dots will start to connect.
Day 2
One more dive (could be shore, could be boat - it’s tide dependent) - and low visibility will feel a lot less intimidating.

Prerequisites:

  • Finishing reading your course material is mandatory BEFORE you arrive.
  • You should also be a certified SSI Open Water Diver or equivalent from any recognized training agency.

Medical Form:

Before you dive, you’ll need to fill out a medical questionnaire. It is a self-check of your eligibility to dive.

If you do need a doctor’s clearance, we will guide you through it! Download the form now.

Age Limitations:

  • The minimum age to glide into the dark side is 10 years. You’ll be certified as an SSI Night & Limited Visibility Diver. 

Price:

  • ₹16,000 per person, all inclusive

  • We’ve got the essentials covered – study material, instructor charges, gear, training dives, certification, snacks & beverages on all dive days, and taxes. 
  • Travel, meals, & stay are additional expenses.

  • Yes! That dive absolutely will count towards your Night & Limited Visibility Diving Specialty. 
  • How does it work? How many dives will you need? How long will the course take? These questions are better answered on a case-to-case basis.

  • While we’re more than happy to note your preference and will try our best to match you with them, each day’s dive plan gets finalised only on the previous evening.
  • Rest assured, whoever it will be, you’re always in safe hands!
  • 4:1. 4 students. 1 instructor.
  • That means more attention, fewer flailing fins, and plenty of time for feedback where it matters most.
  • But that doesn’t mean we won’t do the course with fewer students. We do. There is always a batch finning!
  • On the SSI App – your forever dive buddy. Available on Android & iOS. Phones & tablets. Or even a good ol’ browser.
  • Theory, logs, certifications cards…this is your diver flex app, essentially!
  • Here are the not-so-fun details:
    • Cancel one month prior, and you get a full refund.
    • Two weeks prior? 50% refund.
    • Less than a week? No refund, unfortunately.
  • That said, life loves plot twists and we get it! Talk to us and we’ll figure the best possible solution.
